How do I register for a c2c Smartcard online?

It’s really easy to order a free c2c Smartcard, and set up an online account. Order your free c2c Smartcard online and register for a c2c online account at the same time. It then normally takes around two/three working days, from when your photo has been approved, before your new Smartcard arrives in the post.

How do I load tickets onto my Smartcard?

It’s easy to load your ticket directly onto your Smartcard using the c2c Train Travel app. You’ll then be ready to travel contact-free straight away. All you need to do is: 1. Open the c2c Train Travel app 2. iOS users tap the burger menu on the top right corner of your app screen and select Read Smartcard from the list. If you have an iphone 10 or above, or you’re an Android user, simply skip to step 3. 3. Hold your Smartcard against the back of your phone and follow the on screen instructions 4. Select OK if you’re ready to load 5. You’ll see a tick showing your ticket has been successfully uploaded

What tickets can I get on the c2c Smartcard?

We’ve improved Smartcards so you can now buy most daily ticket options, including those with railcards, when you buy online onto the card. Ticket types that can be added to a Smartcard are: daily tickets between two c2c stations, daily tickets with Travelcards to London stations outside the c2c route, off-peak returns, seasons, flexi-seasons, PlusBus tickets and child tickets on Child Smartcard.
