While the c2c route does not have any direct airport connections, getting to one of London’s many airports from our stations is easy, with direct train and bus services.

While c2c does not run direct trains to these stations, you can purchase tickets to any station in Great Britain using our website or app – just select the relevant airport station as your “Destination” and buy your tickets as normal.

Trains to London Southend Airport with c2c

London Southend Airport is located to the North of the city of Southend-on-Sea. Its train station and services are run by Greater Anglia.

If you are travelling into Southend on the c2c line, you will need to change at Southend Central and make the short walk up the High Street to Southend Victoria, where you will be able to take a direct train to Southend Airport station. Alternatively, the number 9 bus service in Southend serves the airport from the city centre. We have a dedicated page on getting to London Southend Airport with c2c here.

Getting to Heathrow from Southend

c2c’s main London terminal as at London Fenchurch Street, in the heart of the City of London, but we also serve London Liverpool Street at weekends and during engineering works.

Getting from Fenchurch Street to Heathrow

From Fenchurch Street, you can either make the short walk to London Liverpool Street, from where the Elizabeth Line runs direct trains to Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 stations. Alternatively, you may wish to take the District Line from Tower Hill Underground station to London Paddington, where you can catch either the Elizabeth Line or Heathrow Express services.

Getting from Liverpool Street to Heathrow

From Liverpool Street, simply take the Elizabeth Line to Heathrow. This direct service will take you directly to whichever terminal you require.

Getting from Southend to Stansted Airport

Stansted Airport is located North of London and will require a change of service to access. Luckily, train services between Stansted and central London are quick and efficient via Greater Anglia’s Stansted Express service from Liverpool Street station.

If arriving in Fenchurch Street you will need to walk to Liverpool Street where you will be able to take Stansted Express services.

Getting from Southend to Gatwick Airport

Gatwick Airport is located to the South of London and is easily accessible from London Victoria station via the Southern and Gatwick Express service operated by Govia Thameslink Railway.

To get to Gatwick Airport from South Essex, you will need to take c2c to either Liverpool Street or Fenchurch Street. You can then take the Circle/District Line from either Liverpool Street Underground or Tower Hill Underground to Victoria, where you can take the Southern or Gatwick Express service to Gatwick Airport station.

Getting from Southend to Luton Airport

Situated to the North West of London, getting to Luton Airport by train is easy from the c2c network.

Simply take the c2c service to either Fenchurch Street or Liverpool Street, then catch the Circle Line from either Tower Hill Underground station or Liverpool Street Underground station to King’s Cross St. Pancras Underground station. From there, you can take a train from St. Pancras station to Luton Parkway for the Luton DART shuttle service to the airport.

Getting from Southend to London City Airport

London City Airport can be found in London’s Docklands area and is well-served by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) service.

To get from South Essex to London City airport, take a c2c train to West Ham station, where you can change to the DLR service to London City Airport.
