On weekdays you’ll save ⅓ on our Off-Peak Return tickets and at weekends you’ll also make an extra saving, making this our best value ticket all week long. For example, you can travel from London Fenchurch Street to Southend return for £11.75, or Benfleet to Chafford Hundred return for £5.25 – and it’s the same price Off-Peak weekdays as it is at weekends.

  1. 1. What is off-peak? Or when does off-peak run?

    Although off-peak times will vary – by both the train operator and route – the times generally fit within those listed below:

     

    • Off-Peak tickets are not valid on weekdays before 09.30am
    • They tickets can be used on all trains at weekends and on public holidays.

     

    On c2c services Off-peak Day tickets are not available for travel on trains arriving at London Fenchurch Street before 10.00am, or departing from London before 09.30am

    c2c Super Off-peak tickets are only valid at Weekends and Bank Holidays, but on some long distance journeys these tickets are valid seven days a week. However, they come with tighter restrictions on weekdays than Off-peak fares.

  2. 2. How soon after making a booking can I collect my tickets from a self service ticket machine?

    Tickets will be ready for collection at a self-service ticket machine – just two hours from the time printed on your email confirmation.

  3. 3. I need help making a booking online; who do I contact?

  4. 4. Does the ticket price quoted include all travellers?

    The ticket prices displayed throughout the booking pages is the total cost for the number of travellers you entered before searching.  You can click on the price quoted to see a breakdown of the entire cost.

  5. 5. Terms and Conditions
    1. Tickets and discount(s) are subject to availability.
    2. Off-Peak discount tickets with 1/3 off are only available via c2c-online.co.uk.
    3. Discounted tickets will be marked with an * asterisk.
    4. The 1/3 discount is available on the Off-Peak Return fare, but only for both weekday and weekend travel (including Bank Holidays).
    5. Normal Off Peak Return time of travel restrictions apply: for journeys towards London, tickets are valid on trains scheduled to arrive into London after 10:00 Monday to Friday and any time at weekends. For journeys going out of London, tickets are valid for travel after 09:30 Monday to Friday and any time at weekends. Some exceptions apply; please check the journey planner or ask at your local station for further details.
    6. Your ticket is valid on c2c train services only.
    7. This discount is not available on journeys wholly within the London Travelcard zones, nor on journeys served by other train operators.
    8. Railcard discounts and Groupsave discounts for groups of three to nine adults travelling together are available on this ticket.
    9. Normal refund conditions apply.
    10. If you wish to change the date of travel, or the origin or destination of your ticket, it may be necessary to buy a new ticket and apply for a refund on your existing ticket.
    11. You may start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station along the route of travel.
    12. All tickets and travel are subject to the National Conditions of Carriage.
    13. This discount is available on online purchases made three or days or more before travel, with no discount for purchases made within two days (or fewer) of your intended travel date.
