How to apply for our Smart Student scheme
2
Once your Smartcard has arrived in the post, inform your institute and provide them with your name as it appears on the card, your date of birth and the Smartcard number.
3
Your institute will then confirm your student status with us, and we'll email you your discount code so you can buy your Smart Student tickets to travel to college with.
4
The easiest way to buy tickets and manage your Smartcard is using the c2c Train Travel app. You can apply your discount code at the checkout.
Returning Student?
There’s no need to reapply for the scheme if you’re a returning student.
Your student discount is valid for one academic year and if you’re still a student make sure you get your discount by speaking to the administrator at your school or college.
Your administrator will let us know that you’re still eligible for the Student Smartcard discount. We’ll then email you your new discount code to use when buying your tickets online.
