Weekly train tickets
If you’re travelling several days a week, a weekly train ticket is one of the simplest ways to keep your journey consistent without overthinking it. Weekly season tickets are designed for regular and commuter travel, giving you the flexibility to move between your chosen c2c train stations as often as you need over seven consecutive days. Across the c2c network, which connects South Essex to London Fenchurch Street, that flexibility makes a real difference.
Key benefits of a weekly season train ticket
Instead of purchasing tickets each day, you can buy weekly train tickets and rely on one pass for several days.
For many commuters, weekly season train tickets work out to be the equivalent of five peak return journeys, with any additional travel, including weekends, effectively included.
There’s no need to queue every day, since you’ll have purchased your ticket in advance
You can add a London Zones Travelcard to your Season ticket for both paper tickets and on Smartcards. Yes you can tap in/out on oyster readers with Smartcards.

How much is a weekly train ticket?
It’s a common question: how much is a weekly train ticket for your route? The answer depends on where you’re travelling from and to, as well as your usual travel times. Because of that, the most accurate way to check weekly train ticket prices is to use the c2c fare finder, which shows real-time costs based on your journey.
For those travelling Monday to Friday, the value is often clear straight away. Compared to buying daily returns or relying on advance train tickets, a weekly option can offer better overall value, particularly during peak times.
It also takes the pressure off planning ahead. While buying train tickets in advance can be useful for occasional trips, it doesn’t always suit a regular routine. A weekly ticket gives you the freedom to travel when you need to, without checking prices each day.
How to buy a weekly train ticket with c2c
If you’re wondering how to buy a weekly train ticket, getting started is straightforward.
You can do it online, through the c2c app, or at station ticket machines. The process is simple: choose your route, select your start date, and you’re ready to go.
Many passengers choose to buy weekly train tickets through the c2c website or app and load them onto a c2c Smartcard. This means you can tap through ticket gates without carrying a paper ticket, which is especially helpful during busy periods.
The Smartcard also brings added convenience if there are delays. With automatic Delay Repay available, eligible compensation can be processed without needing to submit a claim each time. It’s a small feature that can make a big difference for regular travellers.
