Bonfire night is fast approaching! Discover five of our favourite firework displays easily accessible by c2c train. Don't forget to wrap up warm and grab your friends and family to save a third off adult off-peak train tickets to share a fantastic bonfire night to remember.

1. Fireworks Night, Victoria Park

When: Sunday 5 November

Ticket info: Free

Special features: A display that celebrates 350 years that have passed since the Great Fire of London.

Nearest station: Hackney Wick (take the c2c to Stratford, then change to the overground for one stop).

Lord Mayor's Firework Show, London riverside

When: November 11 from 17:15

Sad fireworks night is over? You can still catch exceptional fireworks displays even after November 5. The Lord Mayor's fireworks take place at the end of the annual Lord Mayor's show and marks the beginning of a new mayoral year. For the best views head to the riverside between Waterloo and Blackfriars Bridges, either on Victoria Embankment or on the South Bank.

2. The Big Beach Bang, Shoebury East Beach

When: Saturday 4 Nov from 17:45, Shoebury East Beach

Ticket info: £5 in advance or £6 on the night (per person). Children 5 and under are free.

Special features: A DJ and Fun Fair makes this event an entertaining evening with lots to see besides the spectacular fireworks display. All ticket proceeds go to local charities and whilst parking is free, it is limited, so make sure to arrive early.

3. Firework Spectacular, Basildon

When: Sunday 5 November from 18:00, Basildon Sports and Leisure Club.

Ticket info: £5 in advance or £7 on the night (per person). Children under 5 are free.

Special Features: This annual event returns once again with a sparkling display to light up Basildon. With all proceeds going to charity, a licensed bar and plenty of food outlets make this an outing for all the family. Designated event parking is free, but limited.

4. Free Seafront Fireworks, Southend

When: Every Saturday at 19:30 until 18 November, Southend seafront.

Ticket info: Free

Special Features: With the biggest displays yet, sea front views and accompanying music, the series of displays promise weekly delight throughout October and November. Free Parking after 6pm in all seafront and town centre council car parks means there’s enough time to enjoy some fish and chips before the fireworks begin.

5. Guy Fawkes Night, Wanstead Flats

When: Sunday 5 November from 17:30, Wanstead Flats, Forest Gate.

Ticket info: Free

Special Features: Spectacular fireworks and an array of food and drink options will ensure you are dazzled at this annual event. Bring family and friends to this free display, but be sure to check travel options as there will be no parking in the area.

Nearest station: Barking then the 58 bus to Wanstead Flats.
