You may have been experiencing issues with your Flexi-Season tickets since we upgraded our system. The problems were caused by incorrect expiry dates being applied to Flexi-Season tickets sold before 1st June. This has now been resolved. We are really sorry for any inconvenience caused. 

If we have been in contact to ask you to order a new Smartcard, please do so – otherwise you will experience problems when you top-up your Flexi-Season ticket.

We’d also like to remind you that if you are running low on Flexi passes, you should ‘top-up’ your original Flexi ticket via ‘My Tickets’ in your online account, and avoid purchasing a new bundle of Flexi-Season tickets. This is to avoid problems related to Smartcard capacity. If you are not sure how to do this, please use our ‘how-to’ guide below.

How to use the new website to buy Flexi-Season tickets

Whether you are a regular user or new to our Flexi-Season ticket, here are some step-by-step guides to buying and topping-up your Flexi-Season tickets using our new website.

Your first purchase of Flexi-Season tickets

For first time users, you can purchase your first bundle of 10 Flexi-Season tickets using the main ticket purchase process.

Topping-up your Flexi-Season ticket

Once you have purchased your first bundle of 10 tickets, you will then need to use the top-up function. Continually buying Flexi-Season tickets using the main ticket purchase process will cause capacity problems with your Smartcard.

To top-up, login to your account and follow these steps:

  1. Go to ‘My Tickets’ and locate your original Flexi-Season purchase
  2. Click ‘More details’ to display the details of the original purchase
  3. Select ‘Top up’ and follow the instructions to complete the top-up purchase

Checking how many passes you have left on your Flexi-Season ticket

Often, you will want to check how many Flexi-Season passes you have left, and whether you need to top-up. So, to check the number of remaining passes, login to your account and follow these steps:

  1. Go to ‘My Smartcards’ and find the Smartcard where your Flexi-Season ticket is loaded
  2. Click on the three dots on the right hand side and select ‘View Smartcard products’
  3. This will display all the products on the Smartcard, including your Flexi-Season ticket and the remaining passes left on that ticket

Loading your Flexi-Season ticket onto your Smartcard

When you buy your first Flexi-Season ticket and each time you top-up thereafter, you will need to select which station you would like to ‘load’ your tickets. This process allows the ticket to physically load onto your Smartcard, using the card reader at the station.  When loading your ticket, you need to press and hold your Smartcard against the reader until you hear the beep and see a green light on the display. If you here a double-beep and see a red light, try again, making sure you keep the card as still as possible. If you continue to hear the double-beep and see the red light, please seek attention from a member of staff.
