What to expect at 2FOR1 Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court Palace is best known for being the home of Henry VIII, so a trip here will give you an insight into the royal lifestyle in Tudor times. Explore the opulent interiors and then head out to the beautiful gardens. There’s over 60 acres of manicured formal gardens and 750 acres of parkland to explore! We recommend checking out the Wilderness, a former pleasure garden which is now filled with wild flowers, trees and birds. Make sure to put some comfy shoes on so you’re prepared for walking in the grounds.
Hampton Court has a cafe called the Tiltyard on site, where you’ll find light lunch options and the normal hot drinks and cakes. There’s also a kiosk serving snacks and hot drinks in the Wildnerness, or you can have a picnic in the gardens. We recommend allowing yourself at least 4 hours to discover Hampton Court Palace, although you could easily spend longer!
How to get to 2FOR1 Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court is a little way out of London, so you’ll need to change a few times to get there from Fenchurch Street. First, walk to Tower Hill station and get the circle or district line tube westbound to Victoria. Then change to the Victoria line southbound and go two stops to Vauxhall. Finally, come out of the underground at Vauxhall and jump on a national rail train to Hampton Court. From there it’s under 10 minutes’ walk to the palace.
