A version of the C. S. Lewis classic for our times. Held at the stunning Bridge theatre across from Tower Hill, step through the wardrobe into the magical kingdom of Narnia for fantastical adventures in a faraway land. Say hello to a talking Faun, an unforgettable Lion and the coldest, cruellest White Witch.

English National Ballet’s Nutcracker, London Coliseum
11 December – 5 January
Is there anything more magical than the Nutcracker ballet at Christmas? Set on a sparkling Christmas Eve in a frost-dusted Edwardian London, Clara and her enchanted Nutcracker doll discover a magical world, where she battles with the Mouse King and meets a handsome stranger. And that’s just the beginning of the adventure. Book this show asap as it sells out fast every year.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears, London Palladium

Despite the tale of Goldilocks, the three bears and those famous bowls of porridge not being the typical Christmas pantomime – alas, here it is! And with some rather famous faces to boot. Julian Clarey, Matt Baker and Nigel Havers are this year joined by the one and only Paul O’Grady as the Evil Ringmaster (we must have missed that part of the story).

Robin Hood, Cliffs Pavilion
