c2c’s Julie Meets the Prime Minister

c2c Station Manager Julie Davis was invited to a once-in-a-lifetime event on Monday: tea with the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.

Julie, who is responsible for managing all 18 c2c stations in Essex, was invited to a special event thanking frontline public transport staff for their hard work to keep the country moving. 

Julie said: “I was so stunned when I first received the invite, and it was a real honour and privilege to go to Downing Street. It was great to meet both the Prime Minister and the Rail Minister, and it felt really special to walk through that famous black door. Plus I really enjoyed meeting so many people from across the country who are all working to help their local passengers.” 

Julie has worked for c2c for over a decade and won the “Outstanding Personal Achievement Award” at the 2014 National Rail Awards – the railway equivalent of the Oscars. The judges praised Julie for her personable approach to her work and the excellent way she motivated her team.
