The Horniman Museum and Gardens is an inspiring, surprising, family-friendly, museum, gallery, aquarium and garden based in South London’s Forest Hill.

Open since Victorian times when tea trader and philanthropist Fedrick John Horniman first opened his house and extraordinary collection of objects to visitors, the Horniman now welcomes over 750,000 visitors per year. The collection has grown significantly since its Victorian beginnings and includes internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, an acclaimed aquarium, natural history collection and award-winning Gardens.

The amazing collections are displayed in unique galleries and inspire the many activities, events and temporary exhibitions held throughout the year.
