Kids Travel for a Quid with c2c at Half Term
National Express train operator c2c is offering parents – and grandparents – the perfect excuse for a day out this half term with a £1 offer on children’s fares.
Up to four children aged 5-15 can travel for just £1 each whenever an adult buys an off-peak ticket online for travel between Monday 16 and Friday 20 February. The advance fares are currently discounted by 50% when bought up to seven days before travel, and by 25% when bought just three days ahead.
And as a special offer for grandparents, the £1 kids’ tickets can be bought at the station too if someone aged 65+ buys one of c2c’s Senior Rover fares: £5 for travel anywhere on c2c outside the London area, and £9 including travel to c2c’s London stations.
Children aged under five can also travel for free.
c2c Commercial Director Ruth Harrison-Wood said: “We know families are planning ahead what they’re going to do this half term, so we thought this offer would be really popular. In particular, we thought grandparents would love the extra flexibility – if they’re stuck for an idea, they can take the grandkids for a day out at bargain prices.”
