c2c Maintains Run as UK’s Number One
National Express train operator c2c has maintained its run as the UK’s most punctual train company, according to the latest results released by Network Rail.
In the 12 months to the end of February, a total of 96.9% of c2c trains arrived on time, which is the best result in the country. In comparison, the national average for train punctuality was 89.7%, and the average for all commuter operators in London and the South East was 89.0% punctuality.
c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: “Our staff out a lot of effort into providing customers with the most punctual train service possible, and we're very proud of our status as the UK's number one."
c2c has now held its position at the top of the annual punctuality tables continuously since December 2011.
Network Rail's figures are the Public Performance Measure, which is the official measure of punctuality in the UK rail industry.
