Southend East Station
Southend East station gives you access to a quiter side of Southend. Stroll past the beautiful painted beach huts along the blue flag beach or enjoy a drink at one of the boutique hotels or cafes whilst taking in the sweeping views of the Estuary.
Ticket Machines for purchasing tickets on the day and pre purchased tickets. Oyster ticket machines are NOT available.
Assistance and access
Induction loops and accessible ticket machines are available. Step free access is only available from Ambleside Drive to platform 1. Impaired mobility set down is available. National key toilets are available on platform 1.
90 cycle storage spaces are available and are located outside the ticket office on platform 1 and at Riviera Drive.
Places to go
A sense of fun and history characterises Southend East, as well as the charming beach huts. There are water sports on offer – from jetskis to kayaking. History buffs will love Southchurch Hall, a medieval moated house only a short walk from the station. Why not take the family to Southchurch Park and enjoy a picnic or a game of cricket? There are a number of restaurants along Eastern Esplanade. Check out Roslin Beach hotel or Ocean Beach – both with an enviable views of the Estuary.
