c2c is delighted to offer a limited number of charter train services for groups of up to 300 people, Monday to Friday. This is a fantastic option for schools, colleges, or company away days, so please contact the group travel team as early as possible with your enquiry.
Currently, we are able to offer the below services Monday – Friday:
- 0853 Fenchurch St to Shoeburyness
- 0904 Fenchurch St to Shoeburyness (Unable to stop at Southend East or Thorpe Bay)
- 1519 Shoeburyness to Fenchurch St
- 1547 Shoeburyness to Fenchurch St
As part of the charter train offer, groups are able to select an outbound and inbound service from the above. Additionally, you are able to select which two stations you would like to board/exit the train. Stations available as part of this offer are:

c2c Charter Train Ticket Terms & Conditions
1. Description
- c2c Charter Train tickets permit group travel on a designated train service reserved for the sole use of that group. Charter Train tickets are not valid on other public train services.
- Your Charter Train ticket is your Authority to Travel letter issued by c2c Group Travel.
2. Availability
- You will be advised the available origin and destination stations and train times at the time of booking. Charter Train tickets are not available for travel to and from Limehouse.
- Tickets must be purchased no less than 28 days in advance of travel and are available only through c2c Group Travel.
- You must inform c2c of the expected number of adults and children travelling when booking your ticket.
- The maximum group size is 300 people. There is no minimum group size.
3. Discounts
- Your Charter Train ticket is priced at a flat rate covering all members of the group and is not dependant on, nor does it vary with, the composition of the group.
- No further discounts are available.
4. When and where the ticket can be used
- Tickets are valid ONLY on the date and train service(s) shown on the ticket.
5. Conditions of use
- The group must appoint a group organiser who is the single point of contact between c2c and the group. The group organiser takes organisational responsibility for the group.
- Your group must be at the departure station shown on your ticket at least 20 minutes prior to the planned departure time of your train, and report to a member of staff at the station who may help ensure you board the correct service.
- We are unable to reschedule your charter service. If you miss the train on which you are booked for any reason, a new ticket must be purchased.
- If your booked train is cancelled or if delays occur while travelling on c2c services, you will be allowed to take the next available train(s) to complete your journey.
- It is the group organiser’s responsibility to ensure appropriate adult supervision of any children (under 16) travelling as part of the group and to advise c2c at the time of booking of any accessibility needs any member of the group has.
- The group organiser is responsibility for ensuring group members conduct themselves appropriately when travelling with c2c. Due consideration and care must be given at all times to c2c’s staff, property, and passengers. 5.7 Your ticket and travel are subject to the National Rail Conditions of Travel (PDF, 1.1MB).
6. Break of journey
- You may not start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station.
7. Changing the time or date of travel
- Requests to changes the time or date of travel must be notified to c2c Group Travel no less than 14 days before departure. An administration fee may be payable.
- Charter Train tickets are limited in availability and it may not be possible to offer an alternative Charter Train booking.
8. Payment
- A purchase order must be provided to c2c prior to an invoice being generated. Payment must be received no fewer than 14 days prior to the date of travel via BAQS or cheque. Failure to pay by within this timescale may result in cancellation of your booking.
9. Refunds
- If you decide not to use your ticket to make all or part of your intended journey then you can get a refund by contacting c2c Group Travel no fewer than 14 days prior to the date of travel. You may be required to pay an administration fee. Any refund fewer than 14 days prior to departure will incur a 25% cancellation fee.
- If the train you purchased your ticket for is cancelled or delayed and as a result you decide not to travel, a refund will be offered and you will not be charged an administration fee.
- If the train you purchased a ticket for is cancelled or is delayed and you still decide to travel, arrangements will be made to accommodate you on another train (although a seat cannot be guaranteed).
