For every £1 you spend you will be awarded one Loyalty Point worth 1p. Your points can be redeemed for future rail travel when buying tickets on the c2c website.

Our Smartcard Loyalty scheme is free to join, you just need to register your c2c Smartcard and opt-in through your online account.

How to start earning points

If you don’t already have a c2c Smartcard, you can order your free card here. Make sure it’s registered to the account you use to buy online tickets and opt-in to join our Smartcard Loyalty scheme to start collecting points. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your c2c account.
  2. Once logged in, you can access your loyalty preference section by clicking “Loyalty Scheme” from the menu on the left.
  3. Select the option ‘Yes, I would like to join the loyalty scheme’
  4. Click ‘Update’ button to save changes. You can choose to opt-out of the loyalty scheme at any time.
  5. Search for journeys online, selecting the option to show fares that can be loaded onto an ITSO Smartcard and earn Loyalty Points for valid purchases.

How to spend Loyalty Points

Any Loyalty Points you earn will be held in a pending state for 28 days after the last date your ticket is valid for travel. Once your Loyalty Points have cleared, redeeming your points is straightforward. Simply search for your journey on the c2c website and you'll be given a choice of how many points you would like to redeem against your purchase on the c2c network. You will be able to see your pending and cleared Loyalty Points in your c2c online account. Please note Loyalty Points can only be redeemed on point to point tickets on c2c route  and excludes any Travelcard add-on.

If you’re a Flexi-Season ticket holder, your Loyalty Points will enter your online account pending 26 weeks after the date of purchase (this is the last date your Flexi-Season is valid for travel) to clear 28 days later.

If you're a Annual Season Ticket holder your points are awarded on a quarterly basis during the year that your ticket is valid. See terms and conditions for full details.

FREE Off-Peak tickets with an Annual Season

If you’re a c2c Annual Season ticket holder, you’re entitled to the additional benefit of four FREE Off-Peak tickets to share with your friends and family, when you buy your Annual Season Ticket online on a c2c Smartcard.

You’ll receive an automated email within 24 hours of buying your Annual Season Ticket online and then have 12 months in which to use the pincode included to claim your four FREE Off-Peak tickets. Remember to check your spam folder in case the email has gone there.

  • For customers who have purchased an Annual Season Ticket online, you will receive an automated email within 24 hours with your off-peak free ticket pincode
  • Your pincode to redeem your free tickets is valid for use for 12 months from issue of your Annual Season Ticket.
  • FREE tickets only available to redeem online
  • FREE tickets are only valid on off-peak c2c services
  • No further rail discounts are allowed
  • FREE tickets are non-refundable and you are not allowed to sell this ticket on
  • This ticket is subject to the National Conditions of Carriage
  • c2c reserves the right to withdraw, remove or suspend this offer at any point without notice
