Stanford-le-Hope station offers quick and direct links into the city of London. It's also the closest station to the DP World London Gateway.

Stanford-le-Hope is an ancient town that is famous for being where novelist Joseph Conrad lived and wrote. Stanford-le-Hope is a short walk from the station is the St Cleres Hall Golf Club. Foodies will love the awarding winning Bell Inn. This 15th Century coaching inn offers a simple menu that is inspired by the local area. There are a handful of shops located on the high street – but if you want to do some serious shopping, make your way to intu Lakeside Shopping Centre.

Rail replacement buses operate as follows:
- If travelling towards Grays/London, exit station entrance via platform 1, turn right and wait at bus stop on London Road
- If travelling towards Pitsea/Southend, exit station entrance via platform 2, turn left and wait at bus stop opposite side of London Road
NOTE: Due to a road closure at Stanford-le-Hope Level Crossing on Sunday 21 August 2016, c2c replacement buses will be unable to stop in the normal position on London Road.
c2c rail replacement buses on this date will instead serve Rookery Corner Bus Stop, 10 minutes walk from the station.
