National rail fares to increase on 2 March 2025
19 February 2025 •
As part of the Government’s national policy for ticket price changes, national rail fares will increase across the country by 4.6% on 2 March 2025. This is 1% above July’s retail price index (RPI) figure of 3.6%, which fare increases have been historically based on.
For c2c customers this means the new fares will be live and available to purchase from our website and app (and other third-party retailers) for travel on and after 2 March.
Customers travelling before the 2 March fares increase will only pay the current price. If you intend to buy a yearly season ticket, you may save money by buying your ticket this month.
You can check c2c ticket prices on our journey planner.
