Engineering work – Autumn 2021

05 October 2021

Our colleagues at Network Rail are undertaking an extensive long-term engineering project to upgrade the overhead power lines on our route. This will help improve the reliability of our infrastructure, reducing the risk of delay to your journey. You can find out more about Network Rail’s project here.

While this work happening, we’re afraid there will be some disruption to your day-to-day journey. The engineering work will primarily be undertaken late at night or over the weekend, when there are normally fewer people travelling.

Our dedicated Service Alterations calendar sets out what is happening each day, up to 12 weeks in advance. As the date nears, we will publish a timetable for the day if it is significantly different to our usual timetable.
