Local rail operator c2c Railway is delighted to be the headline sponsor for Basildon Mind’s first Mental Elf Fun Run – which will take place on Sunday 7 December 2025.
The event will start at 12:00 in Northlands Park, Felmores Road, Basildon and is a festive-themed 5km fun run organised by Basildon Mind to raise funds for local mental health support.
c2c is proud to sponsor the event and showcase its dedication to the mental health and wellbeing of its local communities. Everyone is welcome at the family-friendly event and you can sign up by clicking here.
c2c Managing Director, Rob Mullen, said:
“At c2c, we are a community railway, which is why events like these are so important to us. c2c is dedicated to the mental and physical wellbeing of people in its local communities and I am delighted that we have been able to come aboard as the headline sponsor.
“Let me be the first to say a huge ‘good luck’ to everybody taking part!”
Denise Kent, CEO of Basildon Mind, said:
“We are delighted to welcome c2c as a sponsor of this year’s Mental Elf Fun Run. Their support is truly invaluable, helping us to raise awareness of mental health in our community and provide essential services to those who need it most.
“Partnerships like this allow us to bring people together in a fun, active way, while reminding everyone that looking after our minds is just as important as looking after our bodies. On behalf of Basildon Mind, I would like to thank c2c for their commitment and generosity, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the event.”
Every pound raised goes directly to Basildon Mind, ensuring they can continue to provide free, confidential support for people struggling with their mental health. So, sign-up and join in for a day of fun and festive spirit at Mental Elf 2025 – whether you’re donning your best elf costume or cheering on the runners, your participation makes a real difference.
Basildon Mind is one of c2c’s closest charity partners and, in May, the railway operator hosted its Kick4Kindness charity football tournament at Roots Hall Stadium (home of Southend United) which raised over £7k for local mental health charities, including Basildon Mind.
