c2c Railway is pleased to announce a transformative partnership with GoodMaps, bringing state-of-the-art digital wayfinding technology to every c2c station. This groundbreaking initiative is set to redefine the passenger experience, enhancing accessibility and independence for customers of all abilities.

Powered by GoodMaps’ cutting-edge indoor navigation platform, digital wayfinding empowers passengers to navigate stations with ease and confidence. Leveraging advanced LiDAR scanning and computer vision, the system creates highly accurate 3D maps of station environments. These maps are readily available through the GoodMaps Explore app and on the c2c website under each station’s “Accessibility” section.

Key features include turn-by-turn navigation with audio, visual, and haptic guidance, real-time updates on lifts and escalators, multilingual support, and customisable routes for step-free access. With these enhancements, passengers can independently find their way to ticket offices, platforms, lifts, and other key locations—without the need for staff assistance.

c2c Accessibility & Integrated Travel Manager Steve Scutt, said: “This partnership marks a major milestone in our commitment to inclusive travel and improved customer experience. By prioritising accessibility and leveraging innovative technology, we’re making our stations more welcoming and navigable for everyone.”

To use Digital Wayfinding, passengers can download the GoodMaps Explore app, select their c2c station, and choose their destination. The system provides clear, accessible guidance in multiple languages, supporting both visual and non-visual navigation preferences. Interactive station maps are also available online for added convenience.

Alternatively, c2c customers can visit the Stations & Services tab on the c2c website for interactive station maps.
