Local rail operator c2c Railway Limited has partnered with CPC Project Services to introduce a new state-of-the-art intelligence platform to enhance service delivery and improve the provision of customer information during times of disruption.

c2c Railway has introduced a new state-of-the-art digital intelligence platform, OP1, at its Service Delivery Centre in Upminster to further support colleagues and provide critical business efficiencies and operational insight during times of service delays and disruption.

The platform has been custom-engineered in a collaborative project with c2c railway and CPC Project Services’ technical solutions partner OP1, to bring together existing live data feeds and APIs – from driver and unit diagrams, real-time service information, train locations and drivers’ hours – into a single and easily accessible digital interface.

Using the power of technological innovation, OP1 offers a cutting-edge platform that powers AI and transforms fragmented data into actionable insights, allowing the service delivery team to quickly identify and respond to issues.

c2c Head of Service Delivery, Gail Moore, said:

“The introduction of OP1 means that c2c’s control centres, depots, station staff and managers will have full access and greater insight into real-time service information than ever before. It will help to drive high performance, while also improving passenger services and customer communication.

“The platform vastly reduces the time required to search and gather live service information, allowing the team to make quicker and better-informed decisions around alleviating and minimising service disruption.”

Rob Mullen, c2c Managing Director, added:

“The safety of our customers and communicating with them in a timely and efficient manner remains our number one priority. The OP1 system will transform the way in which we work, ensuring that c2c continues to be one of the most informed Train Operating Companies in the country.”

c2c, who have been working in partnership with CPC over the last 12 months to develop the platform, is the first National Rail Operator to have adopted OP1.

Steve Mole, Managing Partner, CPC Project Services, said:

“As our technical solutions partner, OP1 is enabling us to support our rail clients’ in new and innovative ways by harnessing the power of data to improve performance. c2c is the first national adopter of OP1’s revolutionary data driven platform, and it’s great to see our successful collaboration now in action at c2c’s Service Delivery Centre.”

Charlotte Hughes, Director, OP, added:

“We’re changing the game for rail operators and are delighted to be working with c2c as an early adopter of this technology.

“OP1 is automating previously manual operations and providing enhanced situational awareness to enable increased, safer performance. We’re committed to enhancing our capabilities and features to bring our technology to wider operational areas for a data driven future for rail.”
