Greater Anglia Engineering work
When Greater Anglia has engineering work it sometimes affects their services to London Liverpool Street. Greater Anglia customers will have to take a rail replacement bus journey of 45mins+ to Newbury Park, from there it is a further 9 stops on the London Underground Central Line to London Liverpool Street.
c2c trains will usually be running in and out of London during these periods so you may find it quicker and easier to travel with us if you want to avoid slow moving rail replacement bus services. You can find full information about c2c services in our service alteration calendar.

Ticket acceptance
We’ll be accepting monthly and longer Greater Anglia season tickets from the following stations only:
- Rayleigh
- Hockley
- Rochford
- Southend Airport
- Prittlewell
- Southend Victoria
All other customers will be required to buy a valid ticket for their journey. If you’re a Greater Anglia customer please check with them if you have any queries around acceptance for your ticket. Please note the Greater Anglia West Ham United Season Tickets aren’t accepted on match dates on our route.
Parking at c2c stations
Ticket acceptance does not include car parking acceptance. c2c car parks are likely to be very busy from Tuesday to Friday.
Car parking at weekends is generally available. If you’re planning on driving to one of our stations and then taking the train into London it’s easy to park your car at many of our stations at weekends. Leigh-on-Sea station is a large car park with over 500 spaces, and many others have between 100-200 spaces.
Taking the bus to a c2c station
c2c stations are well served by local buses. Leigh-on-sea and Benfleet are within cycling distance of Greater Anglia’s Rayleigh station.

Where does the c2c route run?
Our route runs from Shoeburyness in South Essex, through Southend, Benfleet, Basildon and on to our London terminus, Fenchurch Street. Only a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station London, and a two minute walk from Tower Hill tube station on the Circle and District lines, Fenchurch street is in the heart of London. Our route is also well connected for onward journeys into the city with interchanges at West Ham for the Jubilee and DLR and Barking for the Overground (as well as District and Hammersmith and City lines). Southend Airport
You can also get to/from Southend Airport and London with c2c and avoid the engineering work. From Southend Central you can hop on the a bus, or pick up a taxi ride to/from the airport.

Plan your journey
Southend Victoria and Southend Central are only 10 mins walk apart, Basildon and Wickford a 13 minute drive apart, and Benfleet to Rayleigh a 14 minute drive. Our Off-Peak tickets and Season tickets are cheaper than Greater Anglia for similar journeys in and out of London* meaning you could save pounds on day trips or hundreds of pounds on your Annual Season ticket.

We have a range of off-peak discount tickets to help you stretch your holiday cash a bit further. Save a third if you’re travelling in a group of 3 or more, Senior Rovers go for £7 or £10, and we also have Kids for £2 every weekend and on weekdays over school holidays.
*Prices are based on 2022 fares for c2c trains into London Fenchurch Street versus Greater Anglia trains into London Liverpool Street. This does not include comparison against Greater Anglia’s limited availability Advance Singles which can only be booked on certain trains. The c2c vs Greater Anglia comparisons are within a five mile radius of each other’s stations and have similar journey times to London.
