c2c OPENS NEW COLLEGE FOR STAFF TRAINING
National Express train operator c2c has opened a new £150,000 training college at Southend Central station.
The new venue, located just off one of the platforms at the station, will be the centre of excellence for all of c2c’s learning and staff training courses. With capacity for over 60 people at once, its walls are decorated with images of and quotes from different employees based across the c2c route.
c2c has launched a new training course for all 600 c2c employees which is based at the college. It is designed to boost customer service skills, and help to make sure that all passengers get the best experience possible when travelling with c2c.
The course has been developed in partnership with training experts TMI UK, who have worked with leading brands such as John Lewis, Apple and British Airways.
c2c Head of HR Lesley Dorrington said: “We hope this fantastic new venue will inspire all our staff who are coming through our new training programme. Providing an excellent service for our customers is hugely important to us, and this training centre will be key in helping establish and maintain these high standards.”
