c2c Named as 2014’s Most Punctual Train Operator
National Express train operator c2c has been named as the most punctual train operator in 2014, in the latest rail industry performance results published by Network Rail.
Across 2014, 96.6% of c2c trains arrived on time – more than any other train company in Britain, and compared with the 2014 national average of 89.6% punctuality. In the past four weeks alone, 97.6% of c2c trains arrived on time.
c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: “All of our staff can be proud of their efforts over the past year, as they have all contributed to this achievement. We are aiming to build on this record in 2015 by running even more trains on time, as well as delivering other improvements for passengers such as the new c2c Smartcard, discounted tickets and our new c2c Live app.”
These punctuality results published by Network Rail are the Public Performance Measure, the Government’s official measure of trains arriving on time.
