Local rail operator c2c Railway – now part of GBR Anglia, which brings together the leadership of c2c, Greater Anglia and Network Rail Anglia under a single, unified structure – has teamed up with Adventure Island to give one lucky customer the chance to win four special Golden Annual Passes.
As part of its Summer Savers campaign – and as Adventure Island celebrates its 50th anniversary – c2c has teamed up with the iconic Southend seafront theme park to give customers the chance to win four exclusive Golden Annual Passes.
These special edition passes, which are not available for purchase, offer unlimited access to Adventure Island and its rides for 12 months, alongside 50% off food and drink in the theme park. The Golden Annual Passes also include a complimentary Sealife Adventure Annual Pass, as well as free admission to Adventure Golf, so the winners can enjoy Adventure Island all year round.
Each winner will also receive a limited-edition Adventure Island 50th Anniversary goodie bag, along with free rail travel and parking with c2c for up to four visits during the 12‑month period.
To be in with a chance of winning the four Golden Annual Passes, please visit the c2c website and complete the entry form by 24 August.
Steve Knights, c2c Head of Commercial Growth, said:
“c2c is proud to be celebrating Adventure Island’s 50th birthday alongside the launch of our Summer Savers campaign.
“As part of our long-standing partnership, we’re delighted to team up with the theme park once again to offer customers the chance to win four Golden Annual Passes – a fantastic money‑can’t‑buy prize.
“As Adventure Island marks this milestone year, c2c looks forward to continuing to carry many tens of thousands of customers to and from the world’s only free admission theme park for many decades to come.
“Happy birthday – here’s to the next 50 years!”
Commenting, Philip Miller M.B.E, Executive Chairman, Stockvale Group of Companies, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with c2c to celebrate Adventure Island’s 50th anniversary and offer customers the chance to win these very special Golden Annual Passes.
“For five decades, Adventure Island has been at the heart of Southend seafront, creating memories for generations of families, friends and visitors. We’re proud to mark this milestone with c2c, whose services help bring so many people to Southend each year.
“We wish everyone entering the competition the very best of luck and look forward to welcoming the winners to Adventure Island soon.”
Adventure Island is a mere 10-minute walk from c2c’s Southend Central station – and only 17 minutes from Greater Anglia’s Southend Victoria – and, as part of c2c’s Summer Savers campaign, children can travel for £2, while off‑peak parking is available for £5 at evenings and weekends.

About GBR Anglia
GBR Anglia brings together c2c, Greater Anglia and Network Rail Anglia under one unified leadership team as part of the wider journey towards Great British Railways.
This new structure is part of wider plans to create Great British Railways (GBR), bringing track and train closer together to deliver a better, more joined-up railway for customers and communities in Anglia.
The structure is designed to support closer operational coordination across infrastructure, train services and customer delivery.
Existing ticketing and customer arrangements remain unchanged, and customers will continue to see the current company identities as the railway transitions towards GBR.
The Anglia route serves a fast-growing region, connecting commuters, leisure travellers, ports, power stations and more, as well as Stansted and Southend airports.
