c2c Railway is offering free travel to service personnel and veterans travelling to and from Remembrance events for the weekends of 1 & 2 November and 8 & 9 November.

For serving military personnel and veterans attending the Submariners’ Remembrance Service, c2c is offering free travel to London on either Saturday 1 or Sunday 2 November and returning from London on Sunday 2 November only.

Furthermore, serving military personnel and veterans travelling to London to attend the Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph on Saturday 8 November or Sunday 9 November will receive free travel, as well as complementary return journeys on Sunday 9 November.

Free travel across the weekends is permitted for current serving Armed Forces personnel in uniform, as well as veterans travelling with their medals. Customers may also be asked to produce the following:

  • A current MOD90 Ministry of Defence-issued identity card
  • A Veterans Railcard, Veterans Oyster card, Ministry of Defence-issued Veterans ID or other form of identification showing the customer is a veteran (e.g., proof of pension).
