Christmas and New Year's services 2017
You might think that all rail services grind to a halt over the entire holiday period. Not so with c2c. We are open and running in and out of London between Christmas and New Year, when other train companies like Greater Anglia are shut. We are closed on Christmas day and Boxing day - so everyone can enjoy a holiday.
Here's our guide to services over the festive season so you plan your journeys easily with c2c.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 December
Over the weekend you can still reach London easily as we'll be running into London Liverpool Street via Stratford. We're also running many 8 and 12-car services - perfect if you're heading in to London for last-minute Christmas shopping, going to or from the football or looking for an alternative to replacement buses if you're usually a Greater Anglia passenger. Please note we are not running into Fenchurch Street this weekend.
Last trains on Christmas Eve?
We're closed, but c2c season tickets will be accepted for travel on Ensign Bus Route X10 between Lakeside and Southend Travel Centre via Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea for Boxing Day sales shopping.
Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 December
We're running to and from London Fenchurch Street across these days with an amended timetable:
Saturday 30 December
We're running to and from London Fenchurch Street on Saturday with an amended timetable:
Sunday 31st December - New Year’s Eve
We're running to and from London Fenchurch Street on Sunday with an amended timetable. We also have an additional 12-car service at 00:41 (Monday morning) to help you get home from your New Year celebrations. This service will run fast to Laindon, then Basildon, Benfleet, Leigh-on-Sea and Southend Central only.
New Year's Day
We'll be running a revised Sunday service
Greater Anglia ticket acceptance
Between 23 December - 1 January customers from Greater Anglia who hold monthly and longer Season tickets will be able to use them to travel with c2c, on the Southend Central - London via Laindon line of our route only.
