Test our new beta c2c Travel app

Thanks for agreeing to take part in trialling our new beta c2c Travel app. You’re part of a small number of people with restricted access to download our app and use it like you would a normal app. Even though it is a beta version of our app, it is still a real app – you can use it to create an account, login, plan a journey, order a Smartcard and buy a real ticket.

What happens during the trial?

The trial will last for a month and you simply need to use it like you’d use the website for buying tickets or planning your journey. Plus, you can manage your Smartcard too. At the end of the trial we’ll send you a survey to find out about your experience using the app and enter you into our £20 amazon voucher prize draw.

How do I download the app?

    1. Check your inbox for the email address you gave us, you should have an invitation from us ‘Trenitalia c2c’ to test our app. (Check your spam if you can’t find the invitation)
    2. Open the email and click on the link ‘View in TestFlight’
    3. This will open a webpage with further instructions, follow the instructions on the page this will include:
      a) ‘Get TestFlight from the App Store’ – click on this link to download and install the TestFlight app from the App Store into your iPhone. The TestFlight app allows iPhone users to manage and use beta apps. We need you to install this in order to access our app
      b) Once you have installed and opened the TestFlight app, click ‘Redeem’ and then enter the eight digit redemption code shown on the webpage.
    4. TestFlight will then automatically download and install the c2c Travel beta app to your iPhone
    5. You can access and use the app like normal now, either from TestFlight itself, or locate the c2c Travel beta app in your iPhone app lists 
    6. Start using it and send us your feedback through the app or TestFlight.

    1. Check your email address registered with your Google Play store, please ensure it is correct email box
      Open the email with subject line of ‘Take part in trialing our beta PICO mobile app’
    2.  Click the link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.c2c.digital.c2ctravel
    3. This will open a new screen ‘Welcome to the testing programme’
    4. Then click on ‘download it on Google Play’
    5. Start using it and give us your feedback

If you download the app, test it and give us feedback via the form at the end of the trial, you’ll be entered into the prize draw.     We are working on some known defects in the Live Travel and My Account areas of the new app. You may find some bugs when trialling these areas, please bear with us while we fix them.

    Please note that the minimum software versions required to take part in the trial are as follows:

    • iOS – iOS 10 and iPhone 7
    • Android – API 22+ (Lollipop) and Galaxy S7/Galaxy A5

    Any software versions you are using that have been released the above will be compatible with the trial.

    Any software versions released before may not be supported and  you may have problems using the app.

    Beta means that the app is still in development – so it won’t be perfect just yet. Even though it is a beta version of our app, it is still a real app – you can use it to create an account, login, order a Smartcard and buy a real ticket. Your feedback will be invaluable for helping us make the app the best it can be when we launch it to all our customers.

    Double check your spam folder, and if you haven’t received it it may have been because your email address was not valid.

    • The prize includes 5 x £20 Amazon Vouchers.
    • Only one Amazon voucher may be won per participant
    • To win you must have downloaded the c2c app and submitted feedback via the feedback form shared at the end of the trial
    • To qualify to enter the competition you must be resident in the United Kingdom and be 18 years old or over. You must not be an employee, an agent or a director of c2c, their associated companies or subsidiaries or any advertising agency or web company connected with c2c, or any member of any such person’s family. c2c reserve the right to verify the legibility of applications.
    • No purchase is necessary.
    • Only one entry per person allowed during the competition period.
    • Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. Multiple entries from the same person and/or email address will not be counted.
    • Competition will close 30 days after the feedback survey is shared. Entries received outside this time period will not be considered.
    • The winner will be randomly picked from the entrants and contacted by email by a c2c representative within 5 working days.
    • c2c decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • If the winner does not respond within 48 hours of being notified of winning, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and another qualified entrant will be selected (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 48 hours or else they will also forfeit their prize).
    • c2c reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value at any time in the event the original prize offered is not available.
    • In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct or the results of any competition, the decision of c2c shall be final.
    • c2c reserve the right to disqualify any applicant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the applicant has breached any of these terms and conditions.
    • In the event that any applicant is disqualified from the competition, c2c in their discretion may decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected. In this event, any further applicant will be selected on the same criteria as the original applicant and will be subjected to these terms and conditions.
    • No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost or delayed in transmission whether by email or otherwise. c2c have no responsibility for damage or loss resulting from misdirected or incomplete entries arising from computable functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.
    • The competition and the terms and conditions of this agreement will be governed by English law.
    • By submitting your personal information you agree to receive emails from c2c Rail containing offers, news, competitions and developments that we think may interest you. You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe on every email that we send.
