What you’ll do:

We are recruiting for a Performance Compliance Lead to work within our planning and performance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that excellent performance is delivered by maintaining  our performance management system, as well as working with the wider business to enforce a strong performance culture and deliver performance initiatives.

We are looking for someone who is customer focused with a drive to deliver excellent performance for our customers. You will interact with other c2c and Network Rail departments to investigate the root cause of delays and will also be responsible for communicating performance data to various stakeholders in clear and easy to understand formats. You will need to be able to analyse, interpret and collate data then present it to our operational departments to explain performance trends. The ability to use Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft Office programs is therefore essential in this role.

This role requires interaction with a number of stakeholders both within and outside the business, therefore the ability to communicate with a clear and concise approach is important. This is a great role for a recent graduate looking to start their career in the Industry. Some background in transport operations is preferred,(but not essential) either via your degree or previous work placements/experience.

What is takes: 

  • An  undergraduate degree or higher preferably in Finance or Transportation
  • A love for problem solving, making sense of something complex and communicating it to others in a way that is easy to understand
  • Ability to develop visual models of data consumption through business systems as required.
  • The ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn other software packages is also important.
  • Understanding and interrogating business data to provide insights for stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate with a clear and concise approach is important.
  • Able to work independently. Self-motivated with strong time management skills
