Tilbury Town station sits on a link known as the Tilbury Loop, which joins the main line at the London end at Barking, and at the country end at Pitsea. A bus link is provided for the Gravesend ferry, replacing the rail link to Tilbury Riverside which was closed in 1992.

Ticket Machines for purchasing tickets on the day and pre purchased tickets are available. Oyster ticket Machines are not available.

Assistance and access

Step free access is available. Lifts are available from street level to both platforms. Accessible ticket machines and an induction loop is available. Impaired mobility set down is available outside station entrance to platforms 1 & 2. National key toilets are on Platform 1

38 cycle racks are available and are located outside station entrance to platforms 1 & 2.

Places to go 

Tilbury Town is famous for its docks and for the ferry to Gravesend. It was once an important military hub and the Tilbury Fort, though it’s no longer in use, can still be seen. It’s now owned by English Heritage and is open on Wednesday through to Sundays. At Tilbury Docks you can catch the ferry to Gravesend in Kent and have lunch in one of the many restaurants and pubs.
