Everyone who travels on c2c is required by law to wear a face covering, unless they have a valid exemption. British Transport Police officers regularly patrol our services, and have the power to issue a £200 fine, rising to a maximum of £6,400.
If you are concerned about someone not wearing a face covering while travelling with c2c, you can submit details of your journey here:
We will use this information to help determine which services should be prioritised by our security staff and the British Transport Police. Please note we can only use this information for data purposes. It will not be used for retrospective action against any individuals.
We recommend you do not engage directly with people who are not wearing a face covering, as this can cause tension and there are valid exemptions which may not be immediately apparent. Instead we recommend you move to another part of the train if you do not feel comfortable, and provide information to us using this form.
