Do you know any budding artists aged between 5-15? If so, this is the chance for them to show off their artistic skills by designing their very own leveret (baby hare) and win the opportunity to see their design brought to 3D life by a local artist, and exhibited at your local c2c station in the summer!
The competition is in partnership with the spectacular Hares About Town public art event happening across Southend from July for 9 weeks.
The lucky winner will be able to help paint their design onto a leveret sculpture with the help of talented local artist Sally Chinea at The Royals shopping centre between 6 – 19 April. They’ll also win four c2c train tickets for the whole family to enjoy a day out on our route. Terms apply*
Grab the crayons, paints or pencils and ask your child to get creative and come up with their own unique design!
Take a picture of the design and submit it via this form, closing date for entries is 20 March 2020:

What are the Hares About Town?
Hares About Town are working with Wild in Art to create a trail of very arty Hare sculptures, each one individually designed by an artist and sponsored by a business, for people to explore and enjoy! The trail is free to enjoy, and afterwards the sculptures will be auctioned to raise money for Havens Hospices.
The leverets will be part of a mini trail that complements the main Hares About Town event. They’re being decorated by learning groups of all ages and abilities and will be planted in ‘Warrens’ within shopping and cultural centres and visitor attractions across the town.
You can find out more about Hares About Town on their website here.
