Somerset House Ice Rink

When? 15 November – 14 January 2024

The historic Somerset House ice rink returns this Christmas and once again there’ll be celebration galore. Skate at Somerset is one of London’s most-loved Christmas adventures, with an array of activities and experiences including thrilling skating, a remarkable selection of food and drink.

This year they have partnered with Switzerland Tourism and bring specially curated sessions inspired by regions of Bern, Lucerne and Valais. The restaurant Chalet Suisse by Jimmy Garcia, features on the west side of the rink and you can also visit the rink side lounge where you can have a glass of Provence Rosé. The Queen’s House Ice Rink

When? 23 November – 7 January 2024

This festive season, skate blissfully across the dazzling grounds of Royal Museums Greenwich. The gorgeous open-air ice rink is sure to be bustling with Christmas cheer all season long against the picturesque backdrop of some of London’s best views, including the Canary Wharf Skyline and Greenwich Park’s glittering lights.

How to get there by train: Take the c2c train to Limehouse, then change for the DLR to Cutty Sark.

Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, Hyde Park

When? 17 November – 1 January 2024

This ice rink is claimed to be the largest open-air rink in the UK, so there’s plenty of room to skate around the centre bandstand; lit up with a fairy light canopy. For evening sessions there’s also live acoustic music played for skaters to enjoy, really giving you that magical Christmas feeling. And with the whole of Winter Wonderland around you, there’s plenty to do after.

Ice Rink Canary Wharf

When? 21 October – 24 February 2024

Canary Wharf’s exceptional ice skating rink is one of its latest captivating attractions, perfect for families, friend groups and anyone who wishes to enjoy a whimsical, serene evening gliding beneath the magical skyline the area boasts. Running for an amazing 18 weeks, tickets are already out and you definitely do not want to miss this!

Battersea Power Station

When? 10 November – 7 January 2024

The Glide Battersea Ice Rink is set just outside one of London’s most iconic buildings. Complete with a 30ft Christmas tree, this venue has more than scenic views in which to skate. Once you have finished your session, you can warm up in the Glass House for a nice pick-me-up, whether that is a hot chocolate or something a little stronger. There’s also plenty to do outside of ice skating at the power station as it also houses over 120 shops, bars and restaurants.

How to get there by train: Take the c2c train train to West Ham, then get the Jubilee line to Waterloo, then change to the Northern line to Battersea
