Getting to and from We Are FSTVL

Massive stages, glowing lights, pumping music and thousands of people having a great time. All that and more is in store for anyone who is heading to We Are FSTVL this May – possibly London’s greatest dance festival of the year!

When is it?

The festival will be booming from Friday 24th until Sunday 26th of May, so you have three whole days to dance your socks off. The even better news is that Monday 27th is the Spring Bank Holiday, giving you an extra day of much needed recovery!

Where is it?

The festival is returning to the beautifully named Airfield of Dreams in Upminster for its seventh year.

How to get there?

Luckily for all of you, it’s easy to get there by train, with Upminster only 20 mins away from Central London and less than an hour away from South Essex destinations on a c2c train.

Trains will be running in both directions on the c2c line:
Upminster to Fenchurch Street – calling at Barking, Limehouse, and Fenchurch Street

Upminster to Shoeburyness – calling at West Horndon, Laindon, Basildon, Pitsea, Benfleet, Leigh on Sea, Chalkwell, Westcliff, Southend Central, Southend East, Thorpe Bay, and Shoeburyness

Plus the festival will be providing free shuttle buses to the event from the station – it’s less than 10 minutes on the bus and you’re there!

Of course, we know that festivals = late nights, so we will ensure that there are longer and later running trains to help the neon-clad revellers get to and from the venue. Even if you’re the last person out of the gates, you’ll be able to catch trains from Upminster until 02.00am. Just make sure not to get too rowdy in residential areas!

Is there any way I can save money on travel?

Although you might be flying solo, we’d imagine you’d plan to rave it up with your friends. Great news is, if there are 3-9 people travelling at the same time, you can save a third on your train fare with our amazing GroupSave offer.

Between 16-25 years old? You probably have a National Rail Young Persons Card, so make sure you bring it with you as you can save up to a third off your train fare. Useful if there are only two of you – or more than nine!

Our weekend fares are less than weekday off-peak fares. Also, during the weekend there are no restrictions on when you can use your off-peak ticket, so go for gold. Plus, you can actually save up to 40% when booking in advance, so if you’ve already got your We Are FSTVL tickets, it’s worth booking ahead and using the money you’ve saved on the festival itself!
