What about you:

We are recruiting for  Qualified Part time Train Drivers for our East Ham depot. To be considered you must already be a Qualified Train Driver with an EU train driver licence, a minimum of 2 years productive train driving experience, a reputable safety record and live within commutable distance to our East Ham depot. 

A part time mainline driver roster is an average of the following:

                      avg 20 hours per week               over 4 days out of 7             avg 5 hours per day 

You will be covering early turn peaks and/or late turn peaks. The allocation of duties will be based on a standard contract of 20 hours per week, averaged over a 10 week block. The 10 week blocks can repeat or be different depending on the business needs. There is no weekend working planned at the current time. During the initial training or conversion to our routes and traction you will be following a Full time roster pattern.

Appointment to the post is subject to successful completion of a full time training/conversion course which will take up 16-20 weeks to complete. A probation period of 6 months will begin once competent on c2c routes.

A completed Transfer of Safety Critical Information form will be required as part of our interview process. All offers of employment at c2c are subject to individual’s passing the relevant medical standard, including drugs and alcohol screening, receipt of satisfactory references, receipt of evidence to demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS check. Please note: failure to comply or an unsatisfactory outcome, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
