c2c Launches its First Ever January Sale

Local rail passengers can benefit from discounted travel for the next month as c2c launches its first ever "January sale".

c2c will be offering a 50% discount on its online weekday super off-peak tickets when people travel in January. The window for benefitting from the best discounts has also been extended, with passengers only needing to book 7 days in advance for half-price tickets rather than 14 days. This means those travelling the longest distances can save £8.50 on a day's travel.

There is also a 25% discount when passengers buy the same tickets as little as three days in advance, if they're travelling in January.
c2c Commercial Director Ruth Harrison-Wood said: "The January sales are always hugely popular, so this year c2c are joining in by offering some tickets at half price. The sooner passengers buy their tickets, the better the discount - so check out our offer online."
Meanwhile for the whole of 2015 c2c is freezing the price of its Senior Rover tickets, at £5 for a day's unlimited off-peak travel outside London and £9 for unlimited off-peak travel anywhere on the c2c route.

Ruth added: "We think these tickets offer great value to the over-65s, and there's no need to book ahead to benefit too. If you're an older passenger, you can simply turn up on the day and use the ticket for as many journeys as you like."
