c2c line status: Good service

17 August 2015

National Express train operator c2c is offering local rail passengers a 50% discount on advance tickets – if they buy them this week.

Under c2c’s Big 50% Sale, which runs until Friday, weekday off-peak tickets are half price when bought online. They can then be used for travel on any weekday up to Friday 4 September.

As an extra bonus, passengers only need to buy the tickets three days before they travel to benefit from the maximum discount, rather than the usual seven days in advance.

The special offer means people travelling between London and Southend can save £8.40 each on their return tickets.

c2c Commercial Director Clare McCaffrey said: “So far this year nearly 11,000 people have taken advantage of our great value advance tickets. Now we’re into the last few days of the school summer holidays there’s not a moment to lose – the sooner you book your tickets in our Big 50% Sale, the sooner you can travel for half price!”

Weekends and Bank Holiday Monday are excluded from the summer sale offer.
