c2c Passengers are Happiest with Punctuality Following Another Month for c2c as UK’s Number One
Passengers travelling with National Express train operator c2c are the happiest in Britain with the punctuality of their train service, according to recent research by the official passenger watchdog.
The latest national survey by Transport Focus shows 93% of c2c passengers were happy with the punctuality of their train service, which is more than for any other rail franchise.
Network Rail has just published new figures showing that in the four weeks from 31 May, 97.3% of c2c trains arrived on time – the best score in the country. Over the past year c2c has also recorded Britain’s best rail punctuality, with 97.1% of all c2c services arriving on time compared to the UK average of 89.6%.
c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: “We work hard to deliver a punctual train service for our passengers, and we’re absolutely delighted that they have recognised this. For our customers to be the most satisfied in Britain with the punctuality of their train service is something we are very proud of.”
Network Rail’s calculates punctuality using the Public Performance Measure of punctuality, the official measure used by the Government and the rail industry.
