c2c cuts travel cost for kids at weekends

02 October 2018

Our popular ‘Kids for £2’ train tickets are now available on weekends as well as the school holidays all year round.

Up to four children aged 5-15 can travel for just £2 each whenever an adult buys an off-peak ticket online for travel on weekends. This means customers can save up to 70% off the cost of weekend kids tickets and what’s more, the offer is also available during the school holidays so parents and grandparents can make savings during the October half term too.

And to make it even easier, customers also no longer need to download a voucher to be able to buy this ticket from a ticket office.

For families travelling into London, c2c’s Family Travelcard also offers great value for money. The grown-ups get 25% off an adult Travelcard plus £2 for each child and it’s available for anytime travel on weekends, as well as off-peak weekdays.

c2c Commercial Director Clare McCaffrey said: “We know families like to travel at weekends as well as the school holidays so this offer is a great way to travel into London for some sightseeing in the capital, or down to  Southend for a day out on the coast. We’ve made the offer even easier too so customers can either purchase the ticket online or simply turn up at one of our ticket offices.”
