What is an off peak ticket?
These are cheaper train fares for travelling when it's less busy, so they have restrictions on when you can travel.
Off Peak Day Single/Return - buy your ticket at any time and travel off-peak
Travel Monday to Friday, or at any time at weekends and Bank Holidays with this off-peak day return ticket between two stations. This ticket is available on many routes and offers great savings on Anytime tickets.
In most cases off peak day tickets are not available for travel on trains arriving at London Fenchurch Street before 1000. There are no evening peak restrictions on c2c services.

Off-peak day Travelcard - buy your ticket at any time, travel off-peak
On the c2c network, the off-peak day travelcard is available from all stations into London.
The off-peak day travelcard offers return travel to London and includes unlimited use of London buses, London Underground (tube)and DLR (Docklands Light Railway) trains in the London Travelcard Zone 1-6 areas.
