What is PLUSBUS?
It’s a discount price ticket for unlimited local bus travel around town (like a "bus pass") that you buy with your train ticket. Bus travel can be at the start, the finish, or both ends of your train journey.
So you pay for your complete train and bus journey in one easy transaction at the station (or by phone). It's a great value way to make your entire journey by public transport and reduce your carbon foot-print!
PLUSBUS is available to 240 towns and cities throughout Britain, including: Basildon, Benfleet, Southend and Westcliff.
How does it work?
For each town there is one zone that covers the whole urban area (your train journey must start or finish outside of this bus travel zone). With your PLUSBUS ticket you can travel as much as you like on all participating bus services within this zone.
Great value
PLUSBUS ticket prices are around £2 to £3 a day, depending on the size of the town or city.
Save one-third off the PLUSBUS day ticket price with your Railcard (usual Railcard peak period restrictions apply). Children (aged 5-15) pay half the adult PLUSBUS day ticket price.

PLUSBUS can be purchased with all "walk-up" and "advance" ticket types:
