Job Centre Job Start
Free train travel to get you started
Go to the interview free
You got the job interview. You're going to give it your best shot. But who's going to pay for the train ticket?
We are!
That's right. You can travel free anywhere between Shoeburyness and Fenchurch Street with our great Travel to Interview scheme! You just need to be registered unemployed and on either:
Job Seeker's Allowance
Severe Hardship Allowance
Severe Disability Allowance
Income Support
Or be returning to work after a two year break
If this is you, then go and tell staff at the Jobcentre - they'll fill in the right application form for you to take to the nearest c2c station. And that's all there is to it! Get up to six tickets a year free!
Two months' train travel free!
Congratulations! You got the job. More great news - you still don't need to pay for your train ticket to work...for a massive two months! That's right. For just £10, you can have two months' train travel with our great Travel to Work scheme.
You just need to have been registered unemployed continuously for 13 weeks or more and on one of the allowances listed above, or returning to work after a two year break. And the job must be permanent, lasting no less than six months!
If this is you, show Job Centre staff your employment acceptance letter and a passport-sized photo - they'll fill in the right application form and certify the photo. Then send the application form, photo, copy of your employment acceptance letter and £10 (postal order or cheque payable to c2c Rail Limited) to your local c2c station.
