The c2c route will enjoy a normal service on Saturday 18 August, but engineering work will take place between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness on Sunday 19 August.
On Sunday 19 August, therefore, trains that normally run via Laindon will run between Fenchurch Street and Leigh-on-Sea only. Trains that normally run via Ockendon will run between Fenchurch Street and Pitsea only, with connections at Pitsea for Benfleet and Leigh-on-Sea. A connecting bus service will run between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness calling at all stations.
Trains between Fenchurch Street and Grays via Rainham will run normally throughout the weekend.
Travelling times, where part or all of the journey involves bus transfer, will be extended and passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
Unfortunately it will not be possible to carry cycles, prams and bulky luggage on the replacement coach services.
The work being carried out will help to maintain c2c's high levels of punctuality which currently stand at 94.6%.
Details of all c2c services, including the amended services for the above evenings, can be obtained by calling 08457 48 49 50.
