The c2c route will enjoy a normal service on Saturday 15 September, but engineering work will take place between Basildon/Stanford-le-Hope and Leigh-on-Sea on Sunday 16 September.
On Sunday 16 September, therefore, trains will run between Fenchurch Street and Basildon via Laindon and between Fenchurch Street and Stanford-le Hope via Ockendon, and then between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness. Buses will replace trains between Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea and between Stanford-le-Hope and Leigh-on-Sea.
Trains via Rainham will run normally throughout the weekend.
Travelling times, where part or all of the journey involves bus transfer, will be extended and passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
Unfortunately it will not be possible to carry cycles, prams and bulky luggage on the replacement coach services.
The work being carried out will help to maintain c2c's high levels of punctuality which currently stand at 94.6%.
There will be no changes to weekday evening services which will run as normal.
Details of all c2c services, including the amended services for Sunday 16 September can be obtained by calling 08457 48 49 50.
