Summer fun with c2c
FAMILIES wanting to enjoy some good value days out during the summer are getting a helping hand from train operator c2c.
The company has launched a summer campaign with a booklet of money-saving vouchers, which will save pounds on great days out to top Southend seaside attractions.
A total of 50,000 of the booklets are available from c2c stations and are being delivered to many homes.
It also includes details of how families can make big savings on their off-peak rail fares over the holidays, using tickets like the Family Ranger where up to two adults can travel the whole route for £5 with up to four children for just £1 each.
Great bargains available in the booklet include two Super-Saver wristbands for the price of one at the Adventure Island theme park, which gives unlimited rides for the whole day, as well as two-for-one deals at the Sea Life Aquarium, Uncle Tom's Cabin and the Kursaal Bowl.
If you would like a booklet with the eight outrageously good offers posted to your home, simply ring 08457 678 765. Getting to Southend using c2c train services could not be simpler, as there are seven stations in the borough.
Also helping to make summer more fun this year, c2c is offering a treat for frazzled mums and dads after a day out with the kids! Massage therapists will be operating from 2pm until 4.30 pm, on Saturday 30 June, at selected stations along the line.
Completely free-of-charge and with no appointment necessary, weary travellers can just relax and let the massage therapist ease the tension from neck and shoulders, while they wait for the train.
And children will not be forgotten either, as there will be free windmills handed out from early morning, throughout the day.
Stations taking part are Fenchurch Street, Upminster, Chafford Hundred, Grays, Barking and Southend Central.
So if the kids are becoming a bit of a handful, plan a day out on c2c - maybe to Southend, London or Lakeside - and let all that stress just float away.
