Normal service on c2c as signalmen call off strike

09 October 2006

Strike action threatened by signalmen that would have affected services on 21/22 and 27/28/29 July has been called off.

Strike action threatened by signalmen that would have affected services on 21/22 and 27/28/29 July has been called off. c2c will therefore be running a normal service (allowing for any planned engineering work) on all those dates.

Managing Director Mark Hopwood said, I am delighted that Network Rail and its signallers have reached an agreement and that there will now be no disruption to services this week or next. This is really good news for customers, whether they be regular commuters, or people setting off on holiday or just going for a day out.

All c2c services will run to and from Liverpool Street on Saturday 22 July while engineering work takes place between Fenchurch Street and Barking.
