One of the two best places to live in the South East, according to the Evening Standard, is Leigh-on-Sea in Essex.
One of the two best places to live in the South East, according to the Evening Standard, is Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. Along with quality schools, reasonable house prices and diverse town centres, an easy commute to London on a reliable train service was a key criteria in reaching their conclusion.
c2c serves a busy commuter market with some 25,000 people traveling into Docklands of the City everyday to work. The report highlights the excellent commuter service with 93.9% of peak trains arriving on time last year. In fact the current average for the year to date is 96.5%.
Managing Director Mark Hopwood was delighted with the article in the Evening Standard. Here at c2c we have put a lot of effort into ensuring our customers enjoy the best service possible. As the most punctual Train Company in the south east we take pride in striving for ever better punctuality as the current figures , compared with those quoted in the evening standard, show. And of course it is not just Leigh-on-Sea that enjoys such a punctual service - it is every station on the route. Moreover our trains are modern - only 6 years old - which makes them very reliable, and are fully air conditioned, which I am sure has been a huge benefit to our customers during the recent hot spells.
We are proud to be the local rail provider to the town judged by the influential Evening Standard to be one of the best places to live in the South East and to have been part of the reason why the paper came to that conclusion.
