c2c performance soars as c2c tops the SRA League Performance Table

With a 6% improvement compared with the same period last year and continued steady improvement since December last year c2c once again tops the Strategic Rail Authority (SRA)'s league table for London and the South East
With a 6% improvement compared with the same period last year and continued steady improvement since December last year c2c once again tops the Strategic Rail Authority (SRA)'s league table for London and the South East, for punctuality, both all day (94%) and peak period (94.3 - a massive 8.5% improvement). This is the third consecutive quarter that c2c has topped the bill in the SRA's National Rail Trends report.
The National Passenger Survey results, also released today, show that the number of passengers satisfied with the overall service provided by c2c is on the increase. This figure now stands at 84%, 4% up on the same period last year and 10% above the figure for London and the South East as a whole.
Commenting on the, Leila Frances, route director, c2c said, To get to the top of the league is an achievement in itself. To stay there is an even greater challenge. But by all pulling together, and with the full co-operation of Network Rail, c2c has not only held on to top place, it has also maintained the real levels of punctuality. In fact for the last full period (1-31 May) we maintained the 94% for all day punctuality but soared to 99.6% in the peak.
These figures are extremely encouraging, for customers as well as for the team here at c2c, because they demonstrate that the strategy we, along with Network Rail Rail, are pursuing is the right one and that high levels of punctuality can be achieved when all key elements in the industry are totally focussed. Customers may rest assured this attention to detail will continue.
c2c is the only railway in the UK operating an entirely new fleet of trains.
