December Timetable

The following provided a summary of the changes to the December 2009 timetable from Sunday 13 December 2009 presented to The Panel:

Mondays to Fridays

0931 Laindon to Fenchurch Street - will not run but additional stops have been placed on the 0906 Southend Central to Fenchurch Street – calling at Westcliff (0908); Chalkwell (0911); Leigh-on-Sea (0914); Benfleet (0919); Basildon (0926); Laindon (0929); Upminster (0938); Barking (0947); West Ham (0952); Limehouse 0957) & Fenchurch Street (1004) 

2030 Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness - will call additionally at Limehouse

2130 Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness - will call additionally at Limehouse

Saturdays and Sundays

No major changes

There are also a number of other minor timing changes across the timetable.


Chafford Hundred Track Renewal

Due to ongoing drainage works required along the Ockendon Branch line this section of the route will be closed from 23.30 Monday 28th December 09 to 06.30 1st January 2010. Buses will be replacing trains between Grays via Chafford Hundred and Ockendon to Upminster. To ensure disruption is kept to a minimum service will be instead run via Rainham.


Fares Changes 2010

c2c explained that regulated fares are normally set at RPI +1%, this year RPI -1.4%. Therefore regulated fares will be discounted by 0.4%. There will be no increase on off peak unregulated fares.

Regarding Car Park charges, no firm decision has been made, but c2c will confirm at next meeting. 


Contingency Plans

c2c briefed the new contingency plans and confirmed how these will operate. Explained the benefit to customers during service disruption, in particular when c2c use NXEA platforms the contingency plans provide a documented plan regarding what trains to run and at what frequency.


Liverpool Street Plan – CATS Teams

c2c briefed the station plans for Liverpool Street in relation to using NXEA Liverpool Street during service disruption. c2c confirmed how they would operate and where they would position additional staff. Back to back radios were on charge at Fenchurch Street permanently so they can be taken over to Liverpool Street. CATS Teams now have grab bags with local information such as maps and directions and most frequently asked questions. In addition to this Contingency plans will also be available.
